Little Hallingbury Neighbourhood Plan Regulation 16 Consultation

Overview

Little Hallingbury Parish Council (as the qualifying body) submitted its Neighbourhood Plan and accompanying documents to Uttlesford District Council on the 04 February 2026.

Uttlesford District Council confirmed on 12 February 2026 that the Neighbourhood Plan submission complies with the requirements of Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Consultation Period The consultation will run for a 6-week period commencing on Thursday 19 February 2026 and closing on Thursday 02 April 2026 at 23:59.

What happens next

Once the consultation closes, the draft Plan and all representations will be submitted to an Independent Examiner to ensure it meets statutory requirements. If the Examiner recommends the Plan can proceed, the Council will hold a local referendum. If a majority of residents vote in favour, the Little Hallingbury Neighbourhood Plan will be formally adopted and become part of the statutory development plan used to decide local planning applications.
